Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is not just something that can happen to those who go to war.

Victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence, mugging, rape, and physical assault can all have PTSD.  Anyone who experiences a traumatic event in which there is a real, or perceived, threat of death can have symptoms of PTSD.
